The Marvel is a bar and concert space in one of Madrid hottest new nightlife addresses on Joaquin Costa Street. The design created by Parolio was inspired by 20th century ingenuity and discovery. The interior was built mainly on walnut wood and takes advantage of silk screen techniques to create a fun vintage look & feel.
On the main floor a pattern of recycled hydraulic tiling creates a powerful effect. Ceilings have been covered with a collage of early 20th century images and advertisements. Two custom made light fixtures, with 150 light bulbs each, hang from the ceiling.
The main bar in a semi circular shape was build on walnut wood and finished with silk screen art work and is completed by a 3 meter high, wood and aged mirror bottle rack.
A lamp created by a collage silkscreened on wood and light bulbs creates a dramatic effect. The stairs are decorated with large typographic pieces and the interior has light installation of wood with the names of famous 20th century mavericks and inspirational figures.
The second floor with a tilted ceiling is a decorated by a fun combination of pieces that accentuate the tilted effect.
